On Thursday, our new sofa from Lovesac was delivered and shortly afterwards and also on Friday, I assembled it. Once I figured out how to put the new one together, it went easy, but it was a lot of work. I also had to bring the 14 boxes it came delivered in upstairs. Yeah, my back hurt and my fingers were sore, but the final result was a new sofa.
Nina would’ve helped me, but her back was in no shape to help; although, she did watch some videos on how to put the covers on told me how to do it. Niko really wanted to help; well, he tries, but mostly he gets in the way! He actually had more fun playing with the boxes than he did screwing some of the feet on for me. I did let him help me open the boxes up and, together, we discarded all the extra packaging into several bags.
Our old sofa was old and not comfortable anymore. I ended up bringing it downstairs. I slid it on its side on the staircase, stood it up in the staircase landing, and then slid it down again and I am proud to say, nothing got broken (like a chandelier in the staircase, me, or Niko). It is nice having another sofa downstairs, but it’s a little to big for the area where it’s at now. I have a feeling that soon, we will buy more from Lovesac and get rid of that old sofa.
