It’s been really fun watching Niko’s building evolution when it comes to his magnetic tiles and his legos. For the past few weeks, he has been building things symmetrical and I am very impressed. He enjoys finding legos that move and he builds lots of interesting cars with the movable legos. He gets so excited that he immediately likes to show them to Nina and I and then we get to play with them. I make sure to put a bad lego person in one of them and then we have chase!
My Aunt Bobi, whom is my mom’s sister, gave Niko some money and with that money, I purchased a lego set of wheels and steering wheels, so we could build more symmetrical cars.
I watch him play with his magnetic tiles and then after his creation is completed, he shows me a million times all the secret doors that open up or what lego car he has put inside of it. The biggest thrill is watching them come crashing down! Sometimes, I get to build something with the magnetic tiles, but my creations are very simple and always seems to be squares!
Now, with the legos, I build with him and often find myself digging in our lego boxes for certain pieces that Niko requests. The majority of the legos we have were the same ones I played with when I was younger. We have purchased a lot of lego sets; police car, submarine, spiderman, police truck, safari truck, and an ice cream truck, but they have been disassembled and made into totally new things.
So, what else is going on with Niko?
Well, yesterday, Niko and I went to Sea World in San Antonio as we live super close to the gigantic theme park. I think he enjoys it because he knows he will get some sort of sweet thing; Dippin Dots was the treat yesterday, he enjoys the outside, he enjoys seeing the dolphins and sharks, and he likes the kids play area.
That is all I got as my time for writing is done and I need to switch gears and do some reading for school. I have two courses and a written capstone remaining in my MBA at Western Governors University.
