Every Sunday, I write something new here, but I have to be honest and tell you that for the past few Sunday’s, I stare at a blank screen hoping something will inspire me to write.
I could write about what Niko is doing right now…he is eating watermelon and scrambled eggs while watching his iPad. Wait, he just unplugged his iPad and moved to the sofa with his iPad to relax. That Paw Patrol theme song is very catchy and I often find myself humming it throughout the house. Niko watches a lot of Paw Patrol, Superwings, and Blippi.
I am waiting for Nina to wake-up so I can mow the front lawn. I have to do yardwork in the morning because it’s too hot later in the day.
Yesterday, I really wanted to get out of the house as I haven’t been out in the world in a few weeks. I told Niko this in the morning when we woke-up and I finally was able to get him dressed at 4 pm! He didn’t want to go and put on clothes. He has been naked since Spring Break; he gets up in the morning and immediately takes his pajamas off and he doesn’t get new ones till bedtime. But, once we got him dressed and downloaded a few episodes of Blippi on hi iPad, he was eager to go. Under normal circumstances, we would go somewhere and get out of the car and do something, but now, we just drive and drive-thru somewhere and come back home. I stopped at Sonic and got him a strawberry milkshake. I thought about getting a burger, fries, and a drink, but I decided not to. See, I am being healthy.
I need to find a good e-book to read on my iPad. I like autobiographies, but the past 3 ones I have read are fiction novels by Anthony Bourdain. I am always open for book suggestions.
My schooling at WGU is going good. I am in the middle of a Financial Management course and am taking it slow. I have till 10/31 to finish it, but am aiming to complete it by 8/31. If I can do that, I can move a class from my 3rd term to this term. And, that would mean, I can graduate with my MBA by May of 2021.
Niko just went upstairs to relax on the sofa. He is still watching Paw Patrol, he has a Paw Patrol truck with him, and he is playing with some Legos.
As we were going up, Nina was coming down the stairs.
Since our bedroom is empty of people, I can now grab laundry, sheets, and pillow cases and throw all of it in the washing machine.
Man, it’s not even 9 am and I have already emptied the dishwasher, made and cleaned breakfast for Niko and I, got some decent writing done, and am running a load of laundry. Later in the day, I am watching the NASA splashdown in the Atlantic ocean.
That’s all I have.
