July 4th Fireworks

Posted on 07/05/202004/19/2025 by Mark

I really enjoy watching fireworks, but I don’t like doing them or spending the money on them.

Last night, Niko stayed up a little bit later than he normally does so he could watch the fireworks and there were a bunch of them in our neighborhood. Before they started, the three of us watched Hamilton on Disney Plus and shared a bag of popcorn. When the fireworks started, we watched from inside, the front porch, and the backyard. It was pretty and very loud! Niko enjoyed it, but after an hour of the show; the show continued long afterwards, he was ready for sleep. I made sure his sound machine was louder to block out some of the noise. When I got him for pee at 2 am, I heard a loud really close firework; it startled me since I was not quite awake yet.
