So, I am 11 days into my phase to lose some weight and although I don’t think I’ve lost any weight, my body feels different; thinner may be a better word.
Since last Monday, I started to walk instead of reading during my breaks at work. It’s nice to get away from my desk. I walk up and down 3 flights of stairs and across 3 buildings.
One thing I am doing really good at is, I haven’t had any pasta or rice since September 9. That’s been a lot of will power on my end because I have been feeding Niko pasta and handling it to help him eat it and eventually clean it when he finished and a few nights ago, we had dinner at my parents house and they had meatballs, sausage, garlic bread, and of course pasta. I stood my ground and said no to the pasta and absolutely yes to garlic bread!
Last week at work was Employee Appreciation Week and I was given lots of food and I only ate a few bad things. Man, it was tough though!
A few days ago, I talked to a health coach from my insurance company because it’s a way to get money in my Medical Reimbursement Account. Although, I kind of know what I need to do, he did provide some good advice and that is to drink more water especially before meals. Right now, I drink water, but I mix it with flavor packets. I am going to try to limit those because they have artificial sweetener. He also told me to make dinner my smallest meal and when I told Nina that, she said, have a bigger breakfast.
