Tomorrow is Nina’s birthday. So, to celebrate, I have a day off; I really like bank holidays. I was also off on Friday and my parents came over during Niko’s nap so we could have a date. The date wasn’t exciting as we went to Old Navy and Target. But, it was nice to get some alone time with Nina. It feels like the only time we get alone is when are getting ready for bed.
After we arrived home on Friday, it was mostly me and Niko time as Nina had a lot of work Friday and Saturday. Hey, I like me and Niko time because I don’t get as much throughout the weekdays.
Today, I took Niko out to my parents house for breakfast and arrived home just before nap. I did this so Nina could cook and not have us bothering her. He loves visiting them and keeps himself busy with a dog, food, and more food. My brother even showed up with his dog. To prove how much fun he had, Niko took a 2 1/2 hour nap at home! And, that meant, I got to nap almost that long as well.
Niko and I wrapped her gifts and he kept telling her something is pink, there is an apple within an apple within an apple, a red cat, and something I wrote. I had Niko draw something on her card from and he did; he is a really good drawer. I think Niko is more excited than Nina is because he gets to help her unwrap the presents.
