After Niko goes to sleep in the crib for nighttime; I say crib for now, but in a few months, we will be getting him a big boy bed, I get to do all of my daddy/husband duties both upstairs and downstairs.
Upstairs, I gather all the trash and all the food plates and drinks. I have to gather my phone, my laptop, the baby camera, and a bag to hold all this stuff. Sometimes, I have to play with our money by paying bills or updating our bank accounts before I head downstairs. Then, I can tell Nina we have this amount left so have fun and buy new shoes!
Downstairs, I put all the dirty food plates and drinks in the dishwasher and gather all the trash including scooping cat litter and bring it all outside to the trashcan. I gather my breakfast and lunch and snacks for work the following day if it’s during the week.
Now, I can finally eat dinner and write something on my laptop which I brought downstairs with me. I have great expectations of sitting at our island, eating hot food, drinking my drink, and pounding out something that is readable. But, I will be honest and tell you that I don’t do any of that. Why? Well, I should because it’s quiet and I can think clearly! That is exactly why I don’t; it’s lonely and I miss my wife. So, I bring dinner and my drinks upstairs and eat in the bed. No writing gets accomplished, but I do get some reading of whatever book I am reading at that time. Plus, I get to chit chat with Nina; mostly we talk about Niko and share Niko pictures from that particular day.
