While I am feeding and quenching Niko after bath and before nighttime, I tell stories to him and as he was wiping his meat sauce hands on my shirt and shorts, I was inspired to tell him this particular story:
I am a napkin. I wait to be used. Oh no, I see someone coming toward me with a mouth covered in chocolate and hands covered in honey.
Use me once please. Don’t crumble it up and keep me in your pocket all day like dad does. And, please when you dispose of me, don’t put me in the trash can with all the other things. I don’t want to be near anybody else except my fellow napkins.
I am a napkin and I don’t appreciate being used to blow noses, clean cat vomit, clean baby poop/pee, and I especially hate being used as a bed for bugs.
Niko was laughing so hard and hearing him, made me laugh! It’s these little things like this that I enjoy the most when it’s just Niko and me. Should I make this my 1st childrens book?
After this story, I told Niko some stories that actually happened to me when I was much much younger! He is such a captive audience and he remembers everything! So, in a few weeks, I guarantee he will bring one of these stories up while I am making up a new one.
