Today, we turned the carseat around so it faces forward. He was right on the cusp of the height and weight for rear facing and we finally decided to switch it. We took a little drive around our neighborhood and it was nice being able to see his face and I am sure he enjoyed a new view of what we see. We have a Honda Pilot and one of the coolest features is rear air conditioning and I made sure to get it perfectly so it would be blowing on his face! And, now, Nina can sit in the back seat with him because she will be able to get some of the air conditioning; she gets carsick and needs air blowing on her face. I don’t carsick.
We didn’t just switch the carseat without telling him; we have been telling him about it for the past few days. I know he is 2, but he understands us. This morning after Niko and I had breakfast at Panera Bread, we washed and vacuumed the car because it was full of Niko crumbs and I wanted the car to be semi-clean before we turned the carseat around. Niko didn’t like the loudness of the vacuums so he put his arms over his ears and I hurried to get it done.
Now, the big test will be to see how he does on a long drive somewhere!
