Happy Mothers Day

Posted on 05/13/201804/19/2025 by Mark

If  you ask me, everyday is MOTHERS DAY because my wife does a lot for our family and she only gets words of appreciation from me; and sometimes Niko as I am teaching to him to say thank you and I love you!

Niko loves his momma, momma cuddles, momma milk, playful momma, eating partner momma, driving in the car momma, watching movies momma, and cooking momma.  Niko and I are always up first and we go downstairs, but as soon as he hears the momma steps from the bedroom, he screams in excitement MOMMA!!!  He will run and wait on the bottom of the staircase until she appears!

When I ask her what she wanted; that is the correct thing to do, correct?  Her reply was, I WANT TO GET OUR HOUSE SOLD.  Well, I can’t help with that!  But, I can and will give her a morning off; probably be next Saturday, so she can sleep in past 7:30am!  I will also keep telling her to schedule a massage.  And, for the 3 of us, I want to take us to dinner at a nice Italian restaurant in Downtown San Antonio, get ice cream at Ben and Jerrys, and stroll on the Riverwalk; this will also be a in a few weeks.  Because I know if we go out today, we are going to have to wait and that is not in my vocabulary especially since I have a 2 year old.

Yesterday, we spontaneously went to an indoor shopping mail near where we used to live; it’s about 45 minutes from where we live now, after Niko and I took our naps.  I purchased a Happy Mothers Day shirt for Niko and surprised Nina when we both came downstairs; no I wasn’t wearing a matching one!  It wasn’t crowded at the mall and it was very pleasant to be inside in the air conditioning; it was hot outside.  He did have a very small 5 minute temper tantrum because he was hungry.  Well, we found a bench and gave him some food and drink.  Yes, we were prepared!  Now, as for potty training, he did 2 pees on the side of the road, 1 pee in the mall, 2 pees in the restaurant; we had Thai food afterward, and 1 pee accident in the car seato in the way home in our neighborhood.  It’s fun when we eat out with him because we have order a lot more food and he enjoyed trying new things.  And, I enjoy it since I like to eat!

Today, we stayed home and Niko was a fusspot most of the day and by that, I mean it was a lot of screaming.  Mostly screaming for momma.  I tried everything in my daddy arsenal to lessen the screaming and some worked and some didn’t.  Let’s just say that I was very glad after we put him down for nighttime as I was able to get some quiet alone time.

For Fathers Day, I told Nina I want Chinese food in San Antonio and we can go as soon as they open to avoid a wait.  I also want our house sold!
