So, how was my vacation? Well, under normal circumstances; meaning without a baby, our cruise was awesome and I ate a lot of stuff! But, that didn’t happen this vacation. We did look at cruises, but we don’t have any extra money sitting around.
Ok, it was very nice to be home with my wife and son; Nina also took time off. In addition to relaxing and playing with Niko, Nina and I were packing up the house. We finally made the decision to sell our house and move closer to civilization. It’s really hard when you live far away and taking a baby out takes all day and he has to nap in the car which we don’t like. Plus, we need more room, storage, and a garage! We have been thinking about this for a long time; it wasn’t just a decision we made this week. The area we are looking will be a farther commute to work and I am OK with that. If we do end up moving in that particular area, I may see if I can change my work schedule to 6:30 instead of 8 am; that way I can void traffic in the morning and I can get home earlier.
We are very fortunate that her mom is allowing us to store stuff in her house; she lives about a mile from us. We have already done 5 Honda Pilot loads! Man, we got a lot more to do. We have already looked at some homes in person with our real estate agent and with Niko. Hey, he loved going in and opening and closing doors. We may put an offer in this week on a house we saw a few days ago.
Overall, it was a good vacation; I just wish I could’ve gotten more naps in!
