Dear Niko,
Hi, this is your dada. How is your day going? Are you having fun with mama and Franklin cat? I want to know everything your mama told you today (so, I can confirm with my sources if it is true or false)!
I am doing excellent despite the fact that you aren’t the best sleeper in the world (but, I won’t complain about that because I know that eventually, you will sleep better and longer).
I just wanted to tell you that in addition to changing your diapers (please stop rolling over, standing, or wiggling because it is really hard to get a clean diaper on you); dressing you in whatever I choose (sometimes it matches and sometimes it doesn’t); singing to you (I know, I am bad and half the songs are about Pee and Poo, but you seem to enjoy them as much as I do); playing with you in the baby jail (you love chewing on things in there and whatever I am playing with, you want to play with it also); listening to you scream and/or cry less than an inch from my ears (sorry, I think Nina just said something, but I couldn’t hear her); making you laugh (sometimes it’s a word, sometimes it’s something I do to your body, sometimes it’s carrying you upside down, sometimes you just look at me, and sometimes you make yourself laugh which makes me laugh which makes you laugh more); feeding you food (how in the world do you eat real food with just 4 teeth and a small mouth) and bottles (you need to slow down on chugging them); cleaning you after you eat (you make a mess everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE); showering or bathing you (this is how we get food out of your hair, nose, and ears…plus, we enjoy naked baby; carrying you in the house (usually when you are cranky and are ready to be done doing whatever you were doing) and outside the house (I love showing you off in public places); taking you for walks outside (you love being outside, you enjoy seeing everything, and you talk a lot); allowing you to take full advantage of my body when we play (if you want a baby sister or brother, please refrain from stepping on my penis); talking to me (I wish I understood baby jargon because you do a lot of it); watching you sleep on the camera (sometimes, I have to zoom to make sure you’re breathing); and sleeping on me (you don’t even want to know many times I kiss your head), I have also been writing about my experiences about being your dada.
I can’t believe that somehow I have found time to write (not just one time, but so far 100 times since October 31st of 2015). Yes, this is my 100th BLOG!!! I had a lot of ideas roaming in my brain, but when my thoughts got written down, a letter to you seemed absolutely perfect.
I really hope that when you are able to read, you will read everything I have written so far and you will have tears, smiles, and laughs. I hope I don’t embarrass you too much. And, then afterwards, you will look at me and scream for mama!!!
