I was tired and I got some good sleep despite having the baby on me. I wasn’t tired due to the baby. I was out twice last week during the weekday after work and that takes a toll on me. It was for a great reason as I was hashing out details on some work that somebody wants to pay me for me. Yeah, I will tell you.
Staring on August 25th and going for 11 weeks, I will be out all day on Thursday’s (I won’t be home until 11pm — and I start at 6:30am). I am the statistician for Thursday Night Lights on CW35 in San Antonio and online at www.kmys.tv/tnl. I started as a High School football statistician for the Texas Sports Radio Network in 1997.
I was undecided on what I would do on Friday’s and Saturday’s during the High School football season. In addition to being a TV statistician, I am a freelance High School sports writer/photographer and have held that title since 2011. I retired from the Texas Sports Radio Network in 2015 so I could focus more on being a sports writer/photographer. On July 7th, I was approached by St. Anthony Catholic High School to cover the football team and after I reviewed the schedule and explained my plans to my wife, I accepted the offer (that is where I was last week as it was the first time I have ever been in the Principle’s office). So, I will only be working 7 St. Anthony games throughout the season which will allow me some Friday’s and Saturday’s off to be with my family.
I also got a taste of what Nina deals with during the week with the baby. So, he eats, sleeps. pees, poos, mumbles some, sneezes, hiccups, goes outside for a walk, and gets played with. Repeat that 10 times!!! Oh, he really likes to be on us which makes it hard to do anything. But, we are slowly working on getting him to sleep in his crib. Last weekend, I made a slight adjustment to his crib and this past weekend, we connected it to our bed. Basically, this will make it easy for Nina to feed him and then when he is asleep, she can move him.
