Rather then bring Niko in his car seat and stroller, we decided to carry him in. The reason we wanted to try it is because he isn’t fond of his car seat and we usually have a screaming baby on the way home from wherever we are. Trust me when I say that isn’t fun.
Well, after about 15 minutes of me carrying him in my right arm, he fell asleep (despite the loudness). I switched positions and cradled him more tightly with both arms so his tiny head was below my left armpit. I have said this before, but I don’t get a lot of time with him during the week, so I was very happy to be walking around the store with a sleepy baby and a sleepy wife. Several people stopped to look at him and if you know me, I am always happy to talk with strangers (just as long as they don’t lure me into a creepy 1970’s van with no windows).
Oh, when we put him back in the car seat for the ride home, he cried. But, once we started moving, he fell asleep again.
